This year the event can host up to 150 youth ages 12-16 and 50 leaders.

There will be many exciting conservation and outdoor activities and speakers for the young men and women to experience such as the ever popular wildlife calls, geo cache, turkey hunting and calling, big game conservation, and exposure to shooting sports opportunities. There will also be drawings and handouts of outdoor gear, wildlife calling contest prizes and a great lunch.

The Y.W.C.E. was first envisioned just a little over three years ago when Larry and Brenda Potterfield of Midway U.S.A. offered KC-SCI a very generous endowment.

The current Foundation Board of Directors consist of Mike Hagen, Paul Kalicki, Pam Todd, and Rodney Heinsohn. The Board is looking at raising additional funds in order to expand to other events. SCI has recently partnered with Boys & Girls of America and we are currently investigating opportunities with the Scouts on the local level.
